Word of Mouth is one of the best and the cheapest marketing methods in the universe. One way to effectively get the word out is to spread rumours about yourself and your business.

Deliver quality, charge reasonable rates, finish jobs before deadline and treat all your customers with respect. In other words, give customers a reason to talk you up to their friends. Encourage them to do so by offering rewards for referrals.

If you publicise to your customers that you have a referral program through in-store signage, by a flyer on your counter and by communicating to your key accounts, you should be able to start and run an effective low cost referral program.

Keep in mind that the program you put into place is only as effective as your quality of work, your fair pricing, and your timeliness; because without those key components your program will be non-effective.
